OUTFITS: Little Ben and the RARE Kimono

I've got a massive back log of posts that I really need to bang out, so here's the first! Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that my hair isn't turquoise anymore, but is in fact now an indigo colour. Even then, that will soon change once again! More on that will come in future posts...

Anyway, over the past few weeks I've still been feeling Kimonos, it's now at that stage where I wonder if I'll ever stop loving them! I've been scouring the interweb for more of these gorgeously flowing printed fabrics.

This one was purchased from eBay and is manufactured by a company called RARE, they can be found on the ASOS website and sometimes even in Topshop.

The print was love at first sight, I'm not too sure what it's supposed to be but it looks a cross between a galaxy print and an animal print with a few flowers thrown in for good measure! The 

huge swirls of blue and various shades of orange make this sounds like something that should definitely not work, but somehow it does!

I paired it with my burgundy tunic which is quite long and so appears as though it's a mini bodycon dress! 

  

  

  

  

  

  

Little Ben!

I first featured Little Ben on the blog a couple of years ago now, I bought him from my then favourite place for jewellery - TOPSHOP - but he was paired up with a hideous looking silver tube chain. It so disgusted me, it just broke my heart that this cute little thing was attached to something so... so... URGH that I just had to rescue him. I hope you'll agree that he looks much happier with his new partner! 

  

I spotted this little beaut whilst in a charity shop that funds the cat sanctuary where I got my new kitties from. I was waiting for the centre to prepare everything and this caught my eye, at first I thought it was a Rolex! It turned out that it's Citron but still, it's pretty good for £3.50, no?

I did a bit of Googling and found a Rolex that looks just like this, so it wasn't just me! It's the Oyster Perpetual Datejust, one can only dream of having a Rolex but every now and then I catch a glimpse of one out of the corner of my eye...

OOTD - Lightning Bolt Tee

Hello there!

So Friday night I went out. It was bladdy freeeezing. Luckily we've not had any snow here in Manchester or I'd be kissing goodbye to my social life. Let's just put it this way, me and ice have been arch-enemies for a long time.

When I'd heard that the weather was going to be extremely cold this week I was really dreading the prospect of icy pathways everywhere! Argh!

But then I saw this top in Topshop, and all the talk of cold weather was put straight out the window! I fell head-over-heels for it, there was also a nude version with bronze shiny bits which I also wanted badly. In the end though, sensible me won out and I plumped for the blue one. Though, there could be a rematch next time I'm in there. Watch out sensible me!

OOTD - Halloween @ The Warehouse Project

Happy Halloween everyone!

This year I decided to ditch the pumpkins & cauldrons and opted for something more gruesome. More on the scary stuff later on in the post!

So last night I went to the Warehouse Project (WHP) to see a load of electro indie bands including Delphic who were the headline act.

I knew it would get pretty hot in there, the tickets were sold out! And I was aiming to be riight at the front, heh! So I digged out something pretty floaty and airy from my overflowing wardrobe to keep me as cool as I can be.

I am seriously in love with this blouse, too much. No wonder it was completely sold out in stores & online. It's incredibly wearable. Pair it with leggings or to bring it all together, wear a slim belt around the waist. Ahh, love.

Onto Halloween

Okay, strictly speaking, today is Halloween. However, last night, the WHP was from 9pm to 4am so technically after midnight it's officially Halloween, muhuhahaha.

Srsly, how realistic does this look? The bouncers outside the WHP weren't sure wether it was real or not, ahaha!

Once inside, we did get a few people come up to us asking if we'd been in a fight, result! Most of the people I met were super friendly and the whole of the venue had a pretty good vibe. And yes, I did make my way right down to the front. However, one did get crushed. My ribs are feeling it today. Oww.

The highlight of the event was definitely Fenech-Soler. Even though I specifically went for Delphic, these guys really stole the show. To be honest, I wasn't really expecting anything particularly mind-blowing. Generally the perception of warm-up bands send majority of folk to snoozeville, but in this case, I couldn't be more wrong! They completely blew the roof off the place! With their eclectic dance moves and dirty, filthy electro synths, they stole my heart. And I probably won't get it back now.

I snuck home at the respactable time of 3.30am. What a mess.

Why hello there! I took a lovely photo of some street I passed by earlier today:

Despite it looking so bloody dreamy, it has been oh so cold out there today. But I was determined not to let the chill ruin my plans for the day, oh no. Today I hit the town with a blend of black & nudes with my customary dash of bling. And you probably know full well by now I love my bling dearly. They are my little babies. I could never part from them.

ANYWAY.

That's right - I am a Topshop girl. I am not ashamed to admit it. My wardrobe consists of around 80% of Topshop gear. What I love about Topshop is that they have a high stock turnover, they are *gulp* always bang on trend, their designs are not tacky like Primark, and last but not least, the clothes are far from boring. And they have a good range of basic clothing.

OOTD - Kate Moss Nude Playsuit

My my, the weather has been extremly peculiar this week in Manchester. In the morning, it's absolutely pissing it down, so I take my big maaaahoosive umbrella to work along with my winter coat, and by the time I leave the building, it's super sunny and I look like a tit. Meh.

Anyway I'm not sure if you remember the nude playsuit Kate Moss wore to the launch of her 12th collection for Topshop. At the event, she wore this gorgeous silk nude playsuit from her collection: 

But the Kate we all know and love actually wore it back to front. and I personally think it actually looks better that way. After seeing the pictures, I skedaddled into town and marched straight into Topshop and bought the playsuit. Now this was back in May. But I still freakin' love it. Today, I paired it with my beloved bleached, boyfriend shirt, black tights and a pair of ballet flats.

Going out OOTD!

Hello!

What a weird day it's been. This morning it was p***ing it down and it was pretty dull. And now at 7pm, not a cloud in sight and it's hothothot again. YES!

Anyways, I am off out for some dinner so here's a little picture of what I'm wearing. And shock horror, none of my clothing are from Topshop. Yeah, I know, it's not like me. ~Feels my head. I'm fine, honestly.

Zomg! I now offically own a Michael Kors watch. The model is in Mk5145. And let me tell you, it wasn't cheap. But was it worth it? Absolutely. It looks stunning!

Although, the only thing that worries me is the strap. I've read it gets dirty quite quickly as it's rubber and it's impossible to remove stains.

Do you own a Michael Kors watch? Anyone have any tips on how to clean the strap?
