Miley Cyrus is getting her bad girl on. Plus, Once Upon a Time returns to magical ratings, Sesame Street spoofs Boardwalk Empire, and Nicole Richie is heading to The New Normal. Keep reading for all the latest small screen news.

Miley Cyrus: Outlaw
Miley Cyrus is headed back to the small screen again, but don't expect any clean-cut H`nnah Montana-style shenanigans this time around. The actress, who recently appeared on the season premiere of Two and a Half Men, is in talks to star as Bonnie Parker in a Lifetime/History miniseries about the infamous Bonnie & Clyde (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow were a pair of outlaws who became known for their brazen bank robberies during the Great Depression. Faye Dunaway played Bonnie in the well-known 1967 film, Bonnie and Clyde, which puts Miley in some pretty good company. Lifetime is also behind the Lindsay Lohan comeback vehicle, Liz & Dick, while The History Channel made a splashy push into scripted miniseries territory with its highly-rated Hatfields & McCoys. There's no word on who might play the Clyde to Miley's Bonnie, but we're drafting an online petition for Liam Hemsworth as we speak.

SNL Snags Applegate, Bruno Mars
Christina Applegate is used to being Up All Night, and on Oct. 13 she'll be staying up late for Saturday Night Live. The actress is set to host alongside musical guest Passion Pit. Bruno Mars will take on hosting and musical guest duties for the Oct. 20 episode. As previously reported, Daniel "James Bond" Craig will host this coming week's episode with musical guest Muse.

Once Upon a Time's Magical Opening
The return of ABC's fairy tale drama last night scored some impressively magical ratings, nabbing 11 million total viewers, 3.8 in the 18-49 demo (you can read our recap here). Revenge, which also debuted its second season last night, weathered the move to Sunday fairly well, scoring 9.5 million total viewers (3.2 in the youth demo). Both ratings were barely down from last season. The series debut of 666 Park Avenue didn't fare quite so well with 7 million total viewers (2.2 in the demo), a number that was below expectations, especially given the Revenge lead-in. Did you watch the premiere of 666 Park Ave? What did you think of the spooky new drama?

Birdwalk Empire
Boardwalk Empire isn't exactly kids stuff, but Sesame Street managed to turn the dark HBO drama into something suitable for tots in a new video called "Birdwalk Empire." Press play to watch Nucky Ducky Thompson face off against a gang of chickens in this in this hilarious spoof video.

More Franklin, More Bash
TNT announced on Friday that it has ordered more episodes of the legal dramedy Franklin & Bash, starring Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. There's no word on when Franklin & Bash will return for its third season.
